Couplehood is often shaped by institutions like marriage, dating, and committed relationships, each with its own rules that can sometimes complicate things. However, embracing curiosity and openness to each other’s individuality can bring freshness to a relationship. Creating unique rituals fosters presence and connection.
Couple Therapy @The World Within offers a space for couples to discuss their differences, share emotions, and grow together, embracing their unique experiences and togetherness with a sense of newness. The couples' work at The World Within caters to people in different phases, including pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, and relationship counseling.
The couple sessions usually last for 2 hours, and some of the approaches used to facilitate the conversations are IMAGO and IFS. These approaches help couples feel heard and provide a structure for effective communication.
Dr. Swetha Turlapati, a Psychotherapist and the founder of The World Within, has 5 years of experience in individual and couple therapy. She is a certified IMAGO practitioner. She holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology and a postgraduate degree in Pharm.D. She is trained and certified in Mindfulness and Narrative-informed practices.
In couples' work, her approach emphasizes effective communication between partners and awareness of the various cultural and social factors that play a role in relationships.
The team has curated a journal for couples to engage with their partners, explore newness in their relationship, and find ways to connect beautifully.
