Sapna, 28yrs

I had taken therapy sessions from Swetha for almost two years. I had a lot of issues with cycles of overthinking and anxiety episodes, which showed effect on my physical health as well. During the two year period, Swetha helped me how to process each emotion with help of mindfulness based practices. I'm grateful for that, and practicing most of the exercises to manage day to day issues.

Thank you Swetha

She is such a good listener she doesn't rush to get the answer and doesn't push you like no matter how much time it takes she's really patient to listen to the problem and have a sense to make us understand how actually we feel and make us realize the root cause of it and that's amazing.

When I first started discussion with Swetha I felt comfortable. She is so friendly and shows patience in understanding my problem and gives different insights which help understanding people and thereby come out of my problems. I highly recommend swetha.

Out of all the therapists I have sought and had counselling sessions with, I can confidently say that Dr. Swetha Turlapati has been the most impactful, kind, and supportive therapist that I have had the privilege of knowing. It has been a year since I met Swetha online for issues relevant to trauma and today, I am able to observe a drastic positive transformation in the way I am able to handle life, myself, and issues that come my way. For someone who has only had Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT) tried by various therapists (which were not well suited for my needs), it was a blessing and a breath of fresh air to have Swetha inculcate Mindfulness Based Techniques during our sessions. Her methods of guidance are tremendously introspective and have assisted me in learning more about myself. Swetha has undoubtedly been a light when all things seemed dark in my life and I would highly recommend her as a professional, passionate, and effective therapist to anyone.

Nishok, 27yrs

I came to therapy, not prompted by some tragic incident or pressing mental health concerns, but because I wanted to explore and know myself, fully and deeply. And this space has given me ways of doing that and much more. Before starting this journey, I knew I had my own share of issues that needed to be addressed, but as it happens with any genuine therapeutic effort, I discovered not only problems that I never thought I had, but more importantly, my inner potential for dealing with them - which also I never thought I had. For that, I am grateful.

Over the last two years, we have explored various life situations and all sorts of issues that have come up, from work to family to relationships. And through all that, I have felt supported, heard and understood. That has been made possible by all the curiosity, kindness and sincerity that this space held for me. And I am all the better for it, a more open, kind and wholesome human being.

When I started therapy, a little over 3 years ago, I was aware that it was long overdue. I remember distinctly how difficult it was for me to start. In fact, I had told myself that I was signing myself up for a couple of counselling sessions, and not “therapy”. This was mostly because I didn’t feel ready, despite knowing how much I needed this.

Starting out can be an intimidating experience, however, a few years down the line, this space has managed to become one of the most intentional and safe spaces for me.

The space that I have managed to create with Swetha is supportive and kind beyond measure. To call it a space that is free of judgement would be an understatement. I have felt empowered to understand my own feelings and experiences, and overcome my own judgements and resistances towards myself.

What I particularly cherish about Swetha’s approach is her insistence on keeping the space free of labels. While I’ve found it easy to identify with terms and use them as placeholders to understand my experiences, my sessions with Swetha have pushed me to explore myself beyond those labels and helped me understand my experiences with careful nuance and empathy. And while there have been times when we’ve had to address aspects that are difficult and painful, it has always been self-paced, and with care.

Personally, therapy has been an empowering and asserting journey for me, which has pushed me to understand myself without reducing me to someone who struggles with anxiety, depression and grief.

Anonymous,

It felt very comfortable to speak with Dr. Swetha Turlapati and I was able to organize my thoughts while doing so, because she gave me the space to say whatever I wanted to say. She asked relevant questions in between before continuing to patiently listen to me. Her questions helped me momentarily analyse my feelings. She logged off the session with words of encouragement and comfort which made me feel good about myself. Every minute of the 60 available was worth it. Thank you.
